Amy Stafford
Amy was born in Houston, Texas, but she has been proud to call North Louisiana her home for over 35 years. In 1998, she graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana Tech University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. While at LA Tech, Amy was named the "Max Howard Freshman of the Year", served as an Orientation Student Leader, and was a member of the school's 100th year Homecoming Court.
After graduation, Amy decided to further her education, and in 2001, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport where she graduated first in her class. Early in her career as a physician assistant, Amy quickly became passionate about dermatology when she had the honor to learn from and work alongside Drs. James R. Bergeron and Laura S. Haynie.
Since that time, Amy has also gained experience in cardiology, serving as physician assistant for Dr. Tommy Brown at Ark-La-Tex Cardiology. In addition, Amy has over eight years of experience practicing aesthetic dermatology with proficiency in injectables including Botox and dermal fillers and personalized skincare consultation.
Amy is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending her time traveling with her husband, playing tennis with her friends, cheering on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels with her daughter, and throwing a tennis ball with her goldendoodle, Maggie.
